Formerly known as the Mad Hadder Band, this powerhouse four-piece takes an eclectic, multi-decade mix of classic, hard, and modern rock and fuses it into a seamless, high-octane live experience.                                                                                                                                                                Led by the dynamic vocal and guitar duo of Cate and Michael Rettig, backed by the driving, thunderous rhythm section of Craig Griffin (bass) and John “Animal” Chretien (drums), September Dogs deliberately hunts down the standout tracks other bands are afraid to touch. They don't just play covers—they twist completely unexpected songs from different eras into a unified, heavy rock sound. From local mainstays to crowded festival stages, a September Dogs show is an addictive guessing game that keeps audiences pinned to the dance floor. Why "genre chaos"? While we are fundamentally a rock cover band, our specific approach perfectly embodies this concept for a few  key reasons:

*Unpredictable Setlists: Instead of sticking to a single era or subgenre, we intentionally weave through a vast, multi-decade mix of classic rock, hard rock, and modern alternative tracks.

*The Element of Surprise: We deliberately select standout songs that are rarely played by standard cover bands, keeping the audience on their toes and disrupting typical expectations.

*Controlled Energy: Like the classic Greek definition of chaos representing pure, unstructured potential, we take completely different styles of music and bind them together using our signature heavy, high-energy rock delivery.

                                                                                                                                                              

We will play Peter Frampton, with the famous talk box solo, circa 1973!! Or I’m You’re Captain, by Grand Funk Railroad, from 1970.       

Then turn around and play Kings of Leon. 2008. Rocking!

and ~ We ARE the Shinedown Band!!  Shinedown, 2001.- today.  Shinedown balances heavy rock anthems, with deeply emotional power ballads. A fan favorite on our set list is “365” .  Listen to the lyrics. Listen to their songs. Unity. Symptom of Being Human. Second Chance. I’ll Follow You Down.. We have fans that had no idea how good Shinedown was until they heard us play it,  now they are Shinedown fans too. Yes, we are the Shinedown Band.
