About us. Cate, Michael, Craig and John. We are September Dogs. We play rock music. We just don’t fit neatly into any one particular genre. There is energy in our music. It’s there. Listen with fresh ears, be open to more. Maybe it’s Cate’s soaring vocals, as she hits a big note, in a ballad that you feel in your heart. Or perhaps a musical line, or a solo that sends you into “air guitarist mode”.  You might not know the song, but the music is good, unfamiliar, yes, yet strangely you keep listening.                                                                                            

It’s called genre chaos, because it isn’t devoted to purely one style or type. Not singularly country, blues, 80’s big hair, jazz, grunge, or 80s-90s  etc.

Mammoth.  Wolfgang Van Halen. He showed up in 2020, after the passing of his father, Eddie Van Halen. His first release was “Distance” in memory of his dad. He was a child prodigy. If you like Van Halen, listen to Mammoth.

Styx. Alanis Morisette. Cee Lo Green. The Pretty Reckless. Aerosmith. Van Halen. Alterbridge. Grand Funk. Procol Harem. Royal Blood. Nickelback. Collective Soul. And more, familiar and, unfamiliar to some!

Something else we do is cover a lot of Shinedown songs. Shinedown, from Jacksonville FL, 2001. A favorite on our set list is “365” . Our singer always chokes up a bit when doing this song, and audiences do too. Listen to the lyrics. Listen to their songs. Unity. Symptom of Being Human. Second Chance. I’ll Follow You Down. SD- balances heavy rock anthems, with deeply emotional power ballads. We have fans that had no idea, now they are Shinedown fans too. We ARE the Shinedown Band!!

Yes, you might only know half our songs, initially. Hang around for a while and you’ll learn the others too. We try to do songs that you won’t hear other bands playing. Don’t get us wrong, we love and appreciate all kinds of music, but there are other bands playing it. So why not come see us to hear something different. We have great musicianship, and a lead vocalist that sings from her heart and soul.

We’ve carved out a special niche. Unique for certain. But it’s good. So good. Let yourself be open to a new experience. Embrace the
